Who is affected?
Anyone in contact with SF6 must be informed about the environmental hazards of this gas and the legislation in force. Supervisors, team leaders and managers are also concerned in the same way as agents handling gas.
In the case of subcontracting maintenance of electrical installations, the company that owns SF6 equipment remains responsible in the event of release of SF6 and is liable to financial and criminal penalties if it does not comply with the regulations.
Personnel performing the following operations are covered by certification:
- Management of SF6 bottles (reception, storage, transport, shipping)
- Supervision of cell assembly and disassembly
- Management of SF6 bulbs (disassembly, storage, transport, destruction)
- General intervention in a post under SF6 intramural (physical risk)
- Search for leaks
- Additional filling
- SF6 recovery and filling
- Densistat measurements and test
- Treatment of bad humidity
- Disassembly and reassembly of a GIS module
- Treatment (vacuum – nitrogen – SF6) on a GIS
